Late Satnuel Gottschalk
Samuel GottsChalk passed on into
eternity at the home ,of Mr. and Mrs
George E. Fee, Hensel], on Deem -
her 29th. Having made his home
there the past three years. He was
born in the Township of Hay where
he lived his younger life and rnarried
.Dianna Hamacher and later moved to
Seaforth-- where he lived 25 years,
.while there his wife, predeceased him,
later he married Lizzie Geiger and
moved .to Dashwobd. While there she
Predeceased him, and then he made
his home with his niece arm<....eacred
the ripe old age of almost .'824.years.
He was Also , predeceased' by a son•
and daughter and is survived by one
son, Rube, in NcRv Orleans, who was
not able to be at the funeral, but
was represented .by his brother-in-Iaw
and wife from St. Catharines -whom
he telephoned to take his place. In-
terment was made at Maitland Bank
cemetery, Seatorth,! on December 31,
with,Rev. Mr. Bpook, officiating.
Late Jahn Oesch
There passed away at his home in
Zurich on Monday, January 3rd an
. aged and highly ,respected, resident ole
the community in the person of. Mr.
Sohn Oesch, who had been ajifelong
resident of Hay Townalup, being of
a wen known family. of the Bronson
line. During most of hise married
life he farmed on the Goshen line
north of tbwn, tintil he retired to
town about six years ago. Always a
hardworking man anal loved tv con-
verse and.wilrhe much missed en
•the 'streets of town. Surviving are
.his wife; four sons, John of Pigeon,
Mieh; Milton and Merino at 74117tell,
and Almund of Hay township, three

eral service was held at the home on
Wednesday at 1,80 p.m. followed by
a public funeral service at the Zur-
ich • Mennonite church with Rev. S.
Peathey officiating. Tnterment was
