Kipfer - Leah Kipfer. In loving
memory of our Dear Mother, who
passed away December 23, 1942.
Mother Has Fallen Asleep
Mother was tired and weary,
Weaiirk with toil and with pain.
Put lAr' her glasses and rocker;
She will not , need them again.
Into heaven's mansions she's entered,
Never to sigh nor to weep.
Afters long years with life's struggles
\Mo(lher has fallen asleep.
Be iutiftil rest for the weary,
Well= .deserved rest for the true.
Whtii our life's journey is ended
Wer' shall again be with you.
This helps to quiet our weeping,
Hark- angel music so sweet!
He giveth to His ,beloved,
Beautiful, beautiful sleep.

Comment:—
Two pretty weddings were
nized in the parish church this week
and whilst we were not on the scene
to glimpse at the future prospectors,
we
we are not able to comment, giving
the tip:to some feminine writers who
are more able to describe the dude
they wear, and other make -ups on
their person to attract attention of
the bystanders. And so we expect
full details of these two weddings
will appear in some corner of the Her-
ald.
Christmas Day passed away as us-
ual; the day was nice, the sun was
shining and the roads good, and you
could travel for miles' without meet-
ing anything more than a jack rabbit.
But here and there you couch ser
cars that had made an attempt to
get in laneways and were snow bo-
und, while their occupants were pro-
bably under cover, unloading a few
sbooners and putting out of the was,
a fow hot shots, before squatting;
down to demolish the fat quarters of
the choicest of fowl, and SO it
year after year, when the old are no

Shortsighted Economy
Short-sighted saving has kept many business men
in the rut of toilsome grind all their lives and in
many instances landed them in bankruptcy. Caut
-
ion
must of course be exercised.
In the present disturbed conditions, few business
people can afford to sit down and accept what
comes; if they do they will gradually drift into the
limbo of forgotten things.
Advertising has therefore proved itself a necessity
and the logical medium for this advertising is your
Local Newspaper. The one that heralds all the local
doings into every home. Nothing can compete
with it for home publicity. Tl y It 1
