Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weiberg cele-
brated their 25 th wedding anniver-
sary on Thursday, Dec, 23rd with
their family and about 50 kriends
Their son, "Tpr. Warnet Weiberg of
Frederickton was present for tLhe
occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Weiberg we-
re generously remembered 'with gifts
and flowers by the family, neighbors
relatives and friends far and near.
We extend our sympathy to Mrs.
Valentine Becker in the death of her
Mother, Mrs. Luther Oke of Usborne
who died on Sunday.

Late Mrs. Louisa Howald •
Mrs. Louisa HoWild of Zurich, an
aged and weli known resident, died
at her home last Wednesday, just six
weeks after the death •of,114 husband
the late Jacob Howald, she was inher
84th year. Louisa -Elsie was her
maiden name, and she was born in
Hay Township and lived in this dis-
triet most of her life with exception
of a few years when they lived in
Kitchener and .Stratford. Ins not
enjoyed her good health recently and
was a•considerable care. Surviving
are three sons, Henry, Zurich; Herb,
Listowel; Theodore, Mannheim, Ont;
four daughters, Mrs. Matilda. Lennox
Green Valley, Sask; Mrs. Josephine
Miller, Kitchener; Mrs. Kathryn
Barry, New York City; Mrs. Aida
Yearion, Detroit; 19 grandchildren
and several greatgrandehildren. A
sister, Mrs. Henry Thiel, Zurich. The
funeral was held- from the family
home on Sunday at ISO p.m. with
burial 'followinv in St. Peter's Luth-
eran cemetery'. Rev. -E. Heimrich
the pastor officiated.

Alexander Etue, well known resid-
ent of the district, died at his 'home
here on Sunday at the age of rri af-
ter a lengthy illness. He was born in
Stanley Twp., on the Blue Water
Highway where he farmed until re-
tiring to Zurich three years ago. He
leaves three sons and nine daughters,
Joseph, Sask; Peter, Flint, Mich; An-
thony, Hay Twp; Mrs. Nelson Masse,
Drysdale, 'Mrs. John .Smith, Windsor;
Sister W. Bernice, St. Joseph's Hos-
pital, London; Mrs. H. Messersch-
reidt,' Flint, Mich; Mrs. T. O'Leary,
Ailsa -7 T Adams, Vandyke
Mich; Mrs. C. Nieman, Lincoln Park,
Mich; Mrs, M Direean, Munroe, Mich
Miss Nola at mune; 'two brothel's,
John and Edward, both of the Blue
Water Highway and two sister, Mrs.
John Ron of 'Arrieh and Mrs: Jane
Rau of Drysdale. His wife died eight
months ago. The funeral was held on
Tuesday morning at 10 a. m. with
requiem high mass sling by Rev, Fe.
