LETTERS FROM THE SERVICE
To the Zurich Red Cross,
Zurich, Ontario, Canada.
P-0., A. E. Lindenfield, J29690, Can.
RCAF., Overseas.
Dear Members: I received your very
nice box of good things this after-
noon and'thought I would ler you
know that they arrived safely and
all in good order. I appreciate your
good work and all your .efforts at
trying to help the Armed Forces sup-
plied with the little necessities and
comforts they like, and miss away
from home. I saw by the Zurich
Herald, which you so thoughtfully
added to the parcel, the fine work the
Red Cross, is doing, and all the knit-
ting and sewing you ladies are doing
to add to this great cause. Certain
articles are rather difficult to obtain
•over here and one also needs court-
"vvrs which we only receive a limited
supply. Like myself, most of the
Canadians find the damp climate over
here much more penetrating than our
Canadian winters and would rather
have the good clean snow than the
wet and mud we have over here.
Thanking you again for your very
nice parcel; keep up the good work.
Sincerely Yours, A. , E. Lindenfield,,

Shortsighted economy
Short-sighted saving has kept many business men
in the rut of toilsome grind all their lives and in
many instances landed them in bankruptcy, Caut-
ion must of course be exercised.
In the present disturbed conditions, few _business
people can afford to sit down and accept what
comes; if they do they will gradually drift into the
limbo of forgotten things.
Advertising has therefore proved itself a necessity
and the logical medium for this advertising is your
Local Newspaper. The one that heralds all the local
compete
doings into every home. Nothing can
with it for horde publicity. Tin It!
