HAD REUNION
On August 25th Hayfield was the
setting for the 37th anniversary of
the Love -Forrest reunion picnic when
150 members of the clan from Ste-
phen, Hay, Stanley, Grand Bend,
McKillop and Hensall enjoyed a most
delightful outing in a social gather-
ing and renewing old acquaintances.
The weather being ideal and the pic-
nic supper left nothing to be desired.
The oldest member present was Mr.
Andrew Love, of Hensall, who is in
his 89th year, and has never missed
a reunion for the past 37 years.
Sports were featured, directed by
Mr. Hiram Blatchard, of McKillop,
and a ball game was enjoyed,
REPEATS ABSOLUTE VICTORY
Ottawa -- Achievement of abetter

Roosevelt as an objective of the Un-
ited Nations. To an audience of some
30,000 people gathered on Parliam-
ent hill and to others listening to the
radio in many nations, Mr. 1Zoos+e-
velt disclosed that the Quebec con-
ference had given "much talk" to
the ,post-war world and that its .mil-
itary decisions would be matte ;tnown
to the enemy "in the only language
their twisted minds .seem capable of
understanding.
