THRIVE ON FARM CAMPS
Of interest to Ontario mothers and
fathers is the report from the Ontar-
io Red Cross on the fine work be-
ing done by the Province's 'teenage
boys and girls in the many camps by
the Red Cross. Miss Ellen W. Por-
ter, Supervisor of this blanch of the
Society, states that the High School
students are really doing a "man-
sized" jab in the planting, cultivat-
ing and harvesting of the Toad crops
which, are so vital to our country's
wartime economy. One camp, situ-
ated in a huge rhubarb plantation,
near Niagara is operated 'almost en-
tirely by High School girls, and all
of the young workers are benefitting
from the fresh air .and the correct
nutritional diets planned for them
by their Red Cross Camp Mother.
