ory Loan quota. This Fourth Victory Loan of
$3,040,000. is large but money is here with serious.
thought and the resolute determination of every
citizen to do his or her part we can again show our
Fighting Services that we in Huron County are
solidly behind them. .
Some districts have already reached their ob-
jective but other.districts are holding back the gen-
eral total for the County.

HAD NARROW ESCAPE
Dennis Denomme, one of 12 child-
ren of Mr. and Mrs. Remmie Den-
omme, Drysdale, had a narrow escape
Saturday afternoon when he rode his
bicycle off a side read directly into
the path of an auto driven by Geo.
Leitch, of Sarnia, who was proceed-
ing north on the Bine Waxer .High -
Way. The boy and his bicycle were
sent flying to the aide of the road,
but all( the lad suffered was bruises
and lacerations. He• was attended by
Dr. P. J. O'Dwyer of Zurich. Tra-
ffic Officer Culp of Gaderich, who
investigated, said no blame was at-
tached to the motorist, he having ap-
plied his brakes and blown his horn
as the bay came suddenly into view,
