Easter Holidays at the home of her

Sunday to continue her studies at St

Toronto the past week, wriere •they
attended the big Liberal Convention
at which (Hon. C. Nixon iwas elected
as leader of the Provincial party.

table being beautifully decorated in

chair being given by the group. Mrs.
Siebert replied very suitably with
thanks, in her able manner, Ali

ANNUAL MEETING
Annual Institute Meeting
..Tho annual meeting of the Zurich
Women's Institute was held in the
town hall, Zurich, on Monday even-
ing, April 12. The ladies were busily
engaged at a quilt, the meeting open-
ed lr„ti• singing the Institute Ode and
praying the Lord's Prayer. Patsy
Stelck favoured the meeting with a
musical number accompanied by her
grandmother, Mrs. Ed. Stelck, Mrs.
Ward Fritz gave a reading, follow-
ed by a piano instrumental' by Mrs.
O'Dwyer, "The Sweetest !Story ever
Told". Mrs. Rose conducted the
business. . It was moved by Mrs. E.
Klopp and seconded by Mrs. Schilbe
that we make jam this year. and the
following comm'i'ttee was appointed:
Mrs. Elmore Klopp, Mrs. David Du-
charme, Mrs. Chester Smith, Mrs.
Ervin Schilbe, Mrs. Joseph Foster,
Miss Jane Lamont, Mrs. E. Hey.
Mrs. Harry Hess gave a report of the
District ,Executive meeting at which
the members of the board agreed to
purchase $100.00 Victory bond for
the 'District of (South Enrols.
Mrs. Hay presented the slate of
officers :prepared by the Nominating
Committee. The officers for 1943-
44 are as follows: President, Mrs.
Harry Rose; 1st Vice President, Mrs
Edwin. Gascho; 2nd Vice President,
IVLrs. Menno Oesoh; Secretary, Mrs.
