Mr. and Mrs. Herb Mousseau and
daughter, Mrs. J. Parkins of near
Brucefield were visitors in town one
day last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Oborer of De-
troit; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denom-
me of Windsor, were holiday visitors
at the Sararas home, south of St.
Joseph.
Mr. and Mrs. Byron Ducharme and
children, Miss Doreen, Miss McDon-
ald, Doline Allan of London, were
Raster visitors at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. David Ducharme.
Rev. C. B. Heckendarn left on Tu-
esday morning to attend the Evangel
ical annual Conference held at Brid-
geport this week. Mr. A. Melick, as
layman left on Wednesday as a dele-
gate.
A bad epidemic of measles have
broken out in town. For some time
they have been rampant in the coun-
try and now they have invaded the
village, it sure is a "measley" thing.

Schade enjoyed a very pleasant time
on Saturday when they attended the
25th wedding anniversary of Mr. and

Some party has been writing some
unpleasant things on a mail box on
the Babylon line, and this is con-
trary to law, and such parties are
warned to refrain from doing so in
the future.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd and Floyd
Cook and baby, Miss Evelen Zoeller
and Mr. Ed. Brenner of Kitchener;
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hendrick of the
Blue Water Highway, were Easter
guests at the home of their parents',
Mr. and Mrs. John Brenner.
On Monday evening, May 3rd, the
Zurich Branch of the Women's In-
stitute will hold its regular meeting.
-The guest speaker will be Mr. J. C.
Shearer, our Agricultural Represen-
tative. Music will be provided by a
male quartette.
Mrs. Clar. Hoffman and son Bobbie
of Galt are spending the Easter holi-
days with the former's mother, Mrs.
W. Siebert. Mrs. Hoffman is reliev-
ing at the local Post Office owing to
the absence of her brother, Mr. W.
A. Siebert, who is Postmaster and is
away on a wedding trip.

kindness shown to their mother dur-
ing her illness. Also for the kind
expressions of sympathy shown dur-
ing their recent bereavement. Spec-

Placed on Probation
The two young Goderich girls who
appeared in juvenile court the pre-
vious Thursday to answer three char-
ges of purse thefts from homes were
placed on probation under the care of
the Children's Aid Society. Full re-
stitution was ordered and has been
made. A third Girl was exonerated.
Victory Loan Quiz Contest
In the Town Hall, Zurich, Monday
May 3rd, at 8.00 p.m. the School
Winners in the Quiz Contest will cora
pete to determine the championships
for West Hay and Zurich. The Group
A County Championship will be chos-
en May 5th, in a competition which
may take the form of a radio pro-
gram. The Divisional Champion will
be chosen May 7th, and the Provin-
cial Finals will be broadcast Satur-
day, May 15th, from Sompson's Ar-
cadian Court, Toronto.
PATRIOTIC CONCERT AT ZURICH
An interesting Patriotic Concert
will be given in the Town Hall, Zur-
ich, on Thursday evening, May 6th,
in behalf of the present Victory Loan
in progress. Interesting numbers by
the school children, short addresses,
and Moving Pictures will be given.
Concert to begin at 8.15 p.m. There
will be no admission, and the public
are cordially invited to attend this
rally which will mean so much in the
interests of our liberties and country
