Bisset, of Goderich, has been report-.
ed missing in air force operations
overseas, his parents hav been in-
formed officially. Obs. Bisset was
born and educated in Goderich, and
was well known as att athelete prior
to enlisting.
NATIVE OF ZURICH MISSING
MT. and IVIrs. W. P, Zapie, of Sas-
katoon, have been notified from Ot-
tawa that their son, Lieut, Willard C
Zapfe, of the -RICAF„ is reported mis-
sing in air operations. This is the
second time he has been missing. Bill
as he is known, was first trussing in
the early fall in Western Africa,
-when his plane became caught -in a
storm, landing in a peanut field. He
walked miles through a jungle, final-
ly contracting malaria. He survived
this and, landed safely in England.
His parents are hoping that Bill will
be lucky again. He is 27 years of
age, and received his promotion from
pilot officer to lieut white he was re-
ported missing in the fall. His father
is a native of •Zurich, and is well-
-known in Gra-if1 Bend, Bill rs a neph-
ew of Mrs, Cyrus Green, Grand -Bend
Mrs. Wm. McClinchey, Holmesville,
and Harry Zapfe, Bruce -field and a
cousin to Mrs. Jack Taylor, Hensall,
