C. B. Simpson, a nephew of Mr and Mrs. W. C. (Wagner, Zurich — "Twice across the North Atlantic, and. ten tunes across the, South At- lantic. as a member of the Royal Air Force Ferry Bomber Command, Sorg. Charles Baxter Simpson lost his life in an aircraft accident near Nash- ville Tennesse. Word was received by his parents, Mr and Mrs J. P. Simpson, Guelph, the news was sent by telegram. The departed enlisted in Guelph in May ,194.1 in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was sent first to Manning Depot in Toronto, and from there continued his train- ing at Camp Borden, Winnipeg, Tren ton, St.. Catharines and Mossbank, Sask., where he received his wings. He was for a time stationed ,at Rivers Manitoba, before joining the Ferry Command and becoming attached to the Royal Air Force. In the course of his duties he crossed the Atlantic many times, visited Africa, Erazil. Porto Rica, Gibraltar, Trinidad and Dutch Guiana.
