The Company adv- anced $95,935 of its own funds . to estates under its care which needed cash to make prompt payment of suc- cession duties and other pressing ob- ligations. Monies invested by the public in Guaranteed Trust Certificates and in, Guaranteed Deposit Certificates total over $7)4.00,000. These .sums repre- sent' savings of more than 4,000 peo- ple and are invested in choice mort- gages, Government bonds and other securities of, high tpye. . A Bad'Accident As a result of a westbound Canad- ian National Railway train at Lucan on Monday morning, there is in St. Joseph's !Hospital suffering a probab- le skull fracture, a broken leg and face cuts of Ralph Genttner, i27, of Dashwood, who is at London and was the driver of the car going to- wards the 'city and with him was a soldier Laverne Wells, 38 of Exeter, who received a broken arm with oth- er injuries. Seemingly .the occup- ants of the car did not .notice the train until it was too late and then in the excitment tried to stop, where- as, the engineer of the train said -if they would have stepped on the auto it would have nicely cleared by the time the train got there, but as it is besides the injuries the car is badly damaged.
