Mr and Mrs. James Parkins, (bri- dal couple) have returned from their wedding trip and are getting nicely settled in the apartments above the office and resturant of the Mousses Garage. Operations Starting What looks like operations getting underway at the St. Joseph Air Port was when on Saturday one of those long, extended trucks took a large load of angle bar steel on the grounds and unloaded the same. A- bout two hundred acres of land have been levelled off in readiness for the big building program which is being planned for this summer. However, no definite information is being re- leased as to what will be going on the corning summer or to what ex- tent the project will be advanced. Mr. Levy is a breeder of pure- bred cattle, having a herd of Short- horns and a dairy herd of Guernseys. Mr. and Mrs. Nolan are moving to Seaforth, having purchased the late Geo. Cardno's residence. Mr and Mrs Chris Schultz have purchtsed through the office of E C Chamberlain, the R L Thompson residence, situated on John street, and have taken possess- ion. Mr. Schultz is an employee of John Boshart & Sons and was form- erly of Zurich.—Seaforth News. A DISTINGUISHED SPEAKER A very distinguished and Nationaly known Speaker will visit the Zurich Town Hall, on Thursday afternoon at two o'clock, when the local Far- mers' Federation will hold their an- nual meeting when election of offic- ers and other :business will Abe trans- acted. This will be followed by an address by Miss Agnes Mac;Phail,who is well known in political as well as other activities, will address the gathering. A big gathering is antic- ipated. The ladies are specially in- vited. Miss MacPhail has had much experience in the workings of nation- al and social affairs, she was M. P. for Grey County for many years and far a considerable time., was Canada's only lady M. P. :We ask one and all who can to turn out and give this distinguished lady a good hearing. SUING HURON COUNTY ilIrs, Irene W White, of Goderich, widow of the late Kerwood White, who was killed last December by a prisoner in an attempted jailbreak, from Huron County jail where Mr White was turnkey, has issued a Su- preme Counrt writ against the Co- unty of Huron claiming unstated da- mages for husband's death. DARK MONTH With only. 76 hours of sunshine,the month of November this year was one of the dullest in six years, second only to November, 1940. The day having the most sunshine was Novcnr ber 4th, when the sun beamed dawn for almost nine hours. On Novemb- er 20, 23, 24, 28, and 29, the sun did not put in an appearance at all --Huron Expositor. WRECKAGE FOUND An airplane seen tossing on the wa- ves of Lake Huron last Wednesday, is believed to be the ill-fated twin - engined Anson bomber which with a crew of four failed to return to its base at the RAF School, Port Albert Saturday last. Pieces of the wings of the plane picked up on the beach bore two of the numbers of the miss- ing plane. A search party brought back all the pieces of the wreckage work in that area, Miss Hilda Morris was married to Mr. Thomas Allan Johnston of Kerns Twp., New Ontar- io, and a son of Dlrs. Mary Johnston and the late Thomas Johnston, of near Blake. Rev. D. A. Tinupany. minister of the New Liskeard Bap- tist church, conducted the service and united the couple in matrimony. The bride was given in marriage by John Smith. She and her bridesmaid were att ired in blue. Miss Love was maid of honor and Mr. Frank Fill- ingham, nephew of the bridegroom, was groomsman. There were 109 gu- ests at the wedding, filling the chur- ch. 'Fllowing the ceremony, a recept- ion was held in the :church, the brid- al party being grouped on the plat- form and a buffet lunch served. Lat- er Mr and Mrs Johnston went to their horse in McCool, where they will reside. Mrs. Johnston, who is a native of England, has been mission- ary in the Kenabek district for the past four years, to which slue went following a visit to her old home in Lancashire. Previously, she hadbeen for several years in charge of miss- ionary work in iMarter, Twp. She is a graduate of the Toronto Bible Col- lege. DIES IN MICHIGAN The death occurred at nis home in Elkton, Mich., on Friday last of Mr. Solomon Eidt, at the age of 77 years after an illness of several weeks. He was born born in East Zorra but the family soon after moved to North Easthope where the deceased spent his early years. He went to Michigan 41 years ago and farmed near Elk- ton for many years, retiring to that village about 20 years ago. He was married to Marian Orth, formerly of Blenheim Township, and the Orth family then moved to Hay Township on the Bronson line, Surviving .be- sides his widow, are four daughters and four sons and 12 grandchildren, also three sisters. The funeral serv- ices was held at Elkton on 'Monday of last week to St. Paul's Evangelical Church, of which the deceased was a faithful member. Rev. R. J.
