ons on clothing. Many buttons are
made from casein, which ':s a milk'
product, and it is also used in air-
planes manufacture. It is estimated
that enough casein has been saved
under the clothin simplification
orders to supply Britain with 25,000
pounds of cheese. •

Representatives of the Salation.
Army were in Zurich on Friday in
the interest of the Home Front Red
Shield Campaign which is to be la-
unched throughout Canada from Sep
21 to 28th. The Army is depending
upon every citizen of Zurich to do
his part.
Sunday evening services will be
resumed in the Evangelical church
on Sunday night, Sept. 6 at 7.30.

Labor Day 'message on the subject,
"When Jesus Worked."
To Speak at Blake Church
Special services are being arrang-
ed for at Blake United church for
Sunday afternoon at 2.30 when one
of their flambee, Mr. Norman John
ston missionary to Bolivia, South
America, will be the speaker. .+Ir.
Johnston is well known to the com-
munity, and he and Mrs. Johnston
are on furlough and visting old fri-
ends.

Rev. E. Heimrich, the r:cwly en-
gaged Pastor of St Peter's Lutheran
churc.h, Zurich will be instaired in
the church on Sunday morning, next,
Sept 6th, at 10 p.m. Rev. 0 W.
Schultz, of Broadhagen will conduct
the services In the evening •at 7.30
the new pastor, Rev. Heimrich will
preach his initiative sermon to his
new congregation. May this happy
union of Minister and Congregation

OBITUARY
. Died in Toronto
Word was received here last week
of the death of M. Milfred Louis
lJttley, youngest son of the late Mr
and Mire. Win. Uttley of Zurich, who
died at Western .Hospital, Toronto,
on August 27th, after a short illness
in his 31st ear. Mr. Uttley before
going tie Toronto was for some years
employed in the Kalbfieisch planing
mills,
.and was a very handy and ac-
complished wood worker, which trade
he followed in Toronto. Was of a
very quiet and pleasing disposition,
end hie. many Zurich friends regret
to learn of hie early departure in
life. .Surviving are his Widow; four
brothers; Joe of St. Marys,; Ralph of
London, Herib and Frank of Zurich,
also five sisters,, Mrs. C. Wilds and
IVIn;s. Joe Wilds of Dashwood, Mrs.
Burke and Mrs. Ross of Toronto;and
Mrs. Wm, (Wm. Witmer of Zurieh
The funeral was held from St. ;Marys
R. C. church. and burrial ,at 1Vlount
