NOSE BROKEN BY BALL While playing tball the other even- ing, Jack Hurson, grandson of Mr_. and Mrs. Isaac Hudson, Seaforth, suffered a broken nose when hit by the ball. He was catcher in a game at the swimming pool. SAVED FROM DROWNING 16 year old Charlie Corbett, of Lucan collapsed on the beach et Grand Bend last Friday afternoon, after he had tried to rescue his com- panion. An unidentified swimmer br- ought in the girl, Eunice Hennessy, also 16, of Clandeboye, and iboth the gorl and the boy were revievd by rescue workers. The pair had gone into the water 200 feet north of the Casino ,and waded out to a sand bar. Wading north on the bar they had gone another 300 feet and decided to come into shore at that point where the water was deeper. The girl got into difficulty in the deep ranater. Cor- bett otbett tried to help her. However, he was forced to snake for shore him• self in semiconscious condition while a swimmer from the shore, went out and brought the girl in. Artificial re- spiration on both the girl and boy were used. De. H. Taylor of Dash-- wiood was in attendance.
