HAD SURPRISE
A very pleasant surprise party
was held on Sunday afternoon at
the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kuno Har
tman in honor of their son Laurence
12th- birthday, • Very appropriate
games were enjoyed by those pres-
ent. Afterwards some 19 little boys
sata down to a beautifully decorated
able, when super was served to the
gathering. Laurence receive d many
bautifus gifts.
Were Surprised
MT. and Mrs. Charles Fritz were
pleasantly surprised while recently
camping at Grand Bend, when they
were Invited to the cottage of their
daughter Dr. and Mrs. H. H. Cowen,
where relatives and friends had ga-
thered to celebrate their 42nd wed-
ding anniversary. A very happy
time was enjoyed and a delicious
meal was served with an additional
three story wedding cake. Many use
fwd gifts were received Mr. and Mrs
Fritz thanked every one for making
throe' event such a success. The clock

OBITUARY
WESLEY KIBLER DIES
Wesley Albert Kivbler, prominent
Listowel merchant, died on Saturday
night :at Listowel Memorial Hospital
l
in his 60th year. Born at Dashwood
and as quite young the family moved
to Zurich where they grew up, he
married Edna Ma Scott at Listowel
in 1913. He diad been a shoe mer-
chant ato Vanseouver and Kitchener
before going to Listowel. Was a me-
mber of various societies and clubs
in that town, also of the United
church. He leaves two daughters ;Mrs
G. Hannahson of St. Catharines, and
Mrs Jas. Moffat of Montreal; two
sons, Capt. J. . Kibyer overseas and
G.ebrge at home; three sisters, Mrs.
A. L. Moritz, Guelph; 'Mrs . Oliver o
Kitchener, and Miss .S I{iibler of Cle
veland; three brothers, Norman, of
Vancouver; Arthur of Steighton,Sas.
and ,George of Selkirk. Maas. Chas.
Fritz of Zurich is an aunt of the
departed. The funeral we held from
the residence on Tuesday at 2.30,with
Rev. M gee11y officiating, interme7rt
followed an Fairv?«}i'7' cemetery.
