H. Horton at Hensall in honor of
Miss Maude Bolton, (bride elect).
Mr, and Mrs. Claude Meidinger
wand baby of Brampton were week-
end.visitors at the home of the for-
mer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael
Meidinger.
The regular monthly meeting of
the Connell of the Township of Hay
was held in the Town Hall, Zurich,
on Monday, July 6th, with all mem-
bers present. Minutes of June mee-
ting were adopted as read.

Ducharme—Jeffrey
A happy matrimonial event was
celebrated at St . Martin's R. C.
Church, London, on Saturday, July
4th at 8 o'clock, a.m. when Euleen
Leah, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon
Jeffrey of near Blake, was united in
Holy Weddlock to Mr. Napoleon
Ducharme, son of Mr. and Mrs. Win
Ducharme of Drysdale. A well plan-
ned wedding diner was served to a-
bout twenty guests in London. The
bride chose for her wedding dress
white, also a handsome veil. Monica
Ducharme , sister the groom was
bridesmaid, while Clemens Jeffrey,
brother of the bride was groomsman
After dinner, picturetking, etc., the
happy couple left on a honeymoon
trip to Midland, and other points of
interest, the bride being dressed in
blue sheer for travelling with hat
and accessories to match. They will
reside in. London.
Auto Accident
Ont car was totally smashed and
three men were taken to London
Hospital as a result of a collision at
the intersection of the old Coldstream
aide road and Pettrie st., rve miles
:south' of Ailsa Craig on July lst. A
1941 madel driven by Wellington
Haist ,of Crediton, had collided with
a car driven by Mrs. A. A. Ross.
Police said that Heist's car left the
road, rolled down a 20 -ft. embank -
ment and stopped facing in the op-
posite direction. The six hien in the
Heist car were all from Crediton and
were southbound on their way to the
Strathroy races. Taken to the hosp-
ital were Mr. Hoist, 47, suffering
from a possible fracture of the skull
and also ribs fractured; Rodney Gil-
bert, 41, suffered from n badly lac-
areted ear and eye and E. Nuren-
burg reported to have possible frac-
tures of the collar bone arm and hip.
The other three in the Hoist car had
minor injuries they were, David Wil-
son,. Wan. Flynn, and Elmer Weido.
Mrs. Ross was on her way to a near
'by 'farm, she suffered shock and an
injury to her leg. Her auto stayed
on the road and damages was eon -
