painful accident last week -while wor-
king at a bridge his finger on the left
hand was quite badly smashed.

Bend where the former will operate
his .barber shop for the summer

Rev. L. H. Ka)lbileiseh of Elmira,
conducted services in St. Peter's
church, Zurich on Sunday evening.
Rev. and Mrs. Kalbfleisch also were
visiting relatives here.
Mr, and Mrs. Julian Mantey and
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Howald and
daughter Jane, spent a pleasant we-
ek end with Mr. and Mrs. Claude
Meidinger at Brampton.
With this cool and wet weather
the farmers are finding it very diffi-
cult to get in their rather heavy hay
crop, There care )altogether too anany
rains and cold days for this time of
year, but we hope better days are
coming soon.

Is Leaving Zurich
Rev. Father L. W. Power, who
has °been parish priest of St. Boni-
face R. C. ;Church, for the past
thirteen years has received word from
Boslhop Kidd, of the London Diocese
that his services will be transferred
to St. Michael's Church Ridgetown,
commencing July 1st. The priest that
will have 'charge of St. Boniface at
Zurich wil'1 be Rev. Father J. A.
Lucier, who has been in charge of
St. Michael's Parish, London. We re-
gret (learning the news that Father
Power will leave Zurich, as we 'all
both Catholic and Protestants have
learned to love Father .Power,'as he
always was so interested in !the mor-
al uplifting of mankind, and striv-
ing to make this old world a better
,place to live in. We know the new
field of labor will begreatly pleased
on having Father . Power .az their
Shepherd.
Mats. Matilda Kalbfleisch of De-
troit, was a week end visitor with
her sister, Mrs. R, F, Stade in town
School exams, are about 'over with
for another yeaar, and the summer
holidays have taken the place of a
lot of studying and hard work. But
they shall soon sliparound too.
Rev. C. B. Heckendorn, J. E. Gas-
cho, and delegates Dorothy O'Brien
and Milton Dagg, are attending a
S. S. Convention at Milverton on
Wednesday.
Annual Cemetery Decoration
The annual decoration services of
theEvangelical church were held on
Sunday afternoon at the Bronson
Lime Cemetery. The graves were be-
autifully decorated while the Dash-
wood band supplied the music after
which the large 'crowd settled at the
adjdining school grounds where the
memorial services were held. Rev.
C. B. Heokendorn pastor of the Zur-
ich Evangelical .church presided. Rev
C. Becker of Dashwood Ev. 'church
gave the address. The choir of the
Zurich Evang. church rendered two
anthems and a anen's •octette of the
same church gave a number besid-
es several selections by the Dash-
wood Memorial Band.

AT ONE !
After July 1st no one will be able to pur-
chase sugar for regular domestic use without
turning in a ration coupon.
Application cards for coupon rationing for
sugar have now been mailed to every house-
hold in Canada. But, 111 an undertaking so
vast, some homes may have been missed, or
some cards may have gone astray. So, no
matter where you live, whether it is in areas
served by letter carrier or not, if your appli-
cation card is not already on its way to
Rationing Headquarters, you should wait
no longer.
After filling in the card, according to the
instructions on the pamphlet which was
delivered with it, just drop the card in the
nearest mail box or post office. It needs no
forwarding address.

at the nearest Post Office at once.
