Rally at Dashwood
The 23rd annual convention of
the Canada branch 'o.f • the Women's
Missionary Society of the Evangel-
ical Church was held at Dashwood,
on. May 20 and 21st. Guest speakers
were Rev. J. J. Arnold, a missionary
on furlough from Africa, and Mrs.
Lloyd Edighoffer of Mitchell. The
president of the branch is Mrs. A.E.
Crossman of Waterloo. The various
reports of .the societies were given
and the general routins business
transacted. The convention speaker
gave addressesh ech evenrng and the
meetings were well attended.
New Freighter Every 4 Days
Ottawa - Canadian yards are
launching 10,000 -ton freighters at
the rate of one every four days and
it is proposed to increase that to 1
every three days, Munitions Minister
Hove told the House of C enemons.

turned home after staying with his
uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Kuno
Hartman for the past two weeks.

A quiet wedding ceremony took
place at the Evangelical parsonage,
Zurich, when Rev. C. 13. Heckendorn
united in marriage, Helen Gertrude
Dietz, .daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Milton Dietz to Clair Woodrow Gei-
ger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Gei-
ger, both of Zurich. The couple were
