The many friends of Mrs. Charles Laporte will be glad to know she is doing as well as can be expected since returning from CFinton Hog - Miss Cecil Masse entertained a number of young folks one night recently. Rev. Father Morrison officiated. The couple left for Midland and surr- ounding district. They have return- ed to Zurich and are getting nicely settled in the vacant apai'tment in the Dietz Block. SwitzerBaker The home of Mr. and Mrs. John Baker, of Stanley Twp., near Zurich was the scene of a charming spring wedding on May 2nd, when their youngest daughter, Margaret Caro- line- became the bride of Eric Ben- son Switzer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles 'Switzer, of Kipper. Rev. Luft of Dashwood, was the officiat- ing minister. The ceremony was per- formed under an arch of evergreens, pink and white roses and streamers. The wedding music was played by Miss Kathleen Hess, cousin of the bride. Given in marnagn by her father, the attractive bride chose a floor -length gown of turquoise blue satin fashioned on princess lines,short puffed sleeves and v -neckline:, She wore a coronet of silver and flowers and carried an arm bouquet of white carnations and fern. [ler brides- maid was Miss Betty Switzer, of Kippen, sister of the groom, who -was gowned in floor -length pink taffeta. Marine McLachlan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wan. D. McLacalane, of Kippen, and Marjorie Currie, dau- ghter of 1VIr. and Mrs. Howard Cur- rie, of Clinton, were dainty little flower girls, The groom r.. -s attended by Karl Reichert, of Zurich, brother oi' the bride. Following the ceremony the wedding .dinner was served to 50 guests, the bride's' mother receiving in. a gown of green crepe with c.or- e of pink carnations. She was as- sisted by the groom's another wear- ing a blue gown with corsage of wht carnations.
