SUGAR GROW ON TREES
If the rationing of sweets becom-
es too sour, there's a remedy! An
article in The American Weekly with
this Sunday's (March 29) issue of
The Detroit Sunday Times, tells how
scientists promise to replace all the
sugar crop we lost in the hilippines
by processing only 10,000 acres of
woodland. Be sure to get The De-
troit Sunday Times this week and

HAS WATER PROBLEM
Admisison that Goderich is faced
with the !problem of building a enw
filteration plant and a new water
main for its dmestic water system
was made by Mayor E. D. Brown at
a council . meeting. For some days
citizens have been forced to boil. their
water or secure it from springs—at
a considerable inconvenience. The an-
nual flood of water and ire down the
Maitland river, accumulating near
the lake, where the water intake is
located, has made drinking water
murky, it is however free from bac-
teria.
