Mrs. Allan Jlohnston is teaching this week in Lumley school owing to the illness of the teacher, Miss Mab- el Workman, Hensail. Miss Gladys Jarrott of the village,. and Mr. E. Smith of Guelph visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. H. Smith, near Varna. Late George E. Thompson The death occurred in Scott's Me- morial Hospital, 'Seafort-h on Thurs- day morning .last of a life long re. sident of their community in the person of George E. Thompson in. his 74th year.
