in the County of Huron, on the 30th
day of September, 1941, are required
to file proof of same with the under-
signed on or before the 31st day of

After that date. the Public Trustees

having regard only to the claims of

In a bitter, hard fought battle,the
Zurich School boys defeated the Parr
Line boys by the score of 4-2, on
Tuesday evening. Marksmen for Zur-
ich were: J. O'Brien 2; and L. Thiel
and C. Bedard each one. Goal gett-

and W. Fuss.

Social ,Held
The ladies of the Bethany Sister
Sunday School class of the Evangel-
ical church enjoyed a very pleasant
social evening at the home of their
teacher, Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Geiger
on Monday eve. Owing to condit-
ions there was a favourable attend-
ance. The class has 40 membeis and
enjoy the Sunday hour very much.
The program was in charge of Mrs.
C. L. Smith, a rousing song service
was held by all, Mr. Geiger gave the
address of welcome, and was replied
to by the president, Mrs, J. Hey. a
humorous reading by '11,1i8 Pearl
Wurtz was enjoyed. A duet by two
sister, Mrs. R. Geiger and Mrs. A.
Melick; Mrs. W. Merner and Mrs. J.
Geiger took charge of quizz questions

LATE MRS. SNOWDEN
Seaforth — There passed away on
Wednesday morning, January 14th,
in Scott Memorial Hospital, Henrietta
Apgusta -Snowden, relict of the Rev.
J. F. Snowden, late publisher of The
Seaforth News, in her 74th year.
M. Snowden had- been in failing
health for the past year and abont
a month ago had a severe heart at-
tack from which she did not recover.
Born in Ottawa, eldest daughter ,of
the, late !Peter F. Heinrichs and Cath-
arine Smith, pioneer Ottawa resid-
ents, she was a graduate of Perth
Model School and Ottawa Normal
School and taught in Ottawa schools
for a number of years. Mrs. Snowden
was one of the few ,survivingcharter
members of the Women's Auxiliary
of the Church of England and was
secretary of one of the Ottawa bran-
ches at its inception. In 1899 she
was married to the Rev. J. F. Snow-
den who predeceased her in 1925.
They resided at Kincardine and Little
Current !before corning eo Seaforth
in 1916 where the family nas lived
since. Surviving are three sons, Cy-
ril, Oswald and Gerald, who are car-
rying on the publishing of the ,Sea-
forthNews, a daughter, Gwendolyn;
also one brother, C. F. Heinrichs.
