LATE MRS. SNOWDEN Seaforth — There passed away on Wednesday morning, January 14th, in Scott Memorial Hospital, Henrietta Apgusta -Snowden, relict of the Rev. J. F. Snowden, late publisher of The Seaforth News, in her 74th year. M. Snowden had- been in failing health for the past year and abont a month ago had a severe heart at- tack from which she did not recover. Born in Ottawa, eldest daughter ,of the, late !Peter F. Heinrichs and Cath- arine Smith, pioneer Ottawa resid- ents, she was a graduate of Perth Model School and Ottawa Normal School and taught in Ottawa schools for a number of years. Mrs. Snowden was one of the few ,survivingcharter members of the Women's Auxiliary of the Church of England and was secretary of one of the Ottawa bran- ches at its inception. In 1899 she was married to the Rev. J. F. Snow- den who predeceased her in 1925. They resided at Kincardine and Little Current !before corning eo Seaforth in 1916 where the family nas lived since. Surviving are three sons, Cy- ril, Oswald and Gerald, who are car- rying on the publishing of the ,Sea- forthNews, a daughter, Gwendolyn; also one brother, C. F. Heinrichs.
