Bayfield council
discuss subdivision
The regular council meeting
was held Monday evening with
the reeve and all councillors
present.
Mr. Paul Ducharme and Mr.
Kim McLean addressed council
and presented the revised
updated plans for Mr. Duch-
arme 's sub -division. These met
with approval. Mr. Bud Charnney
was also present regarding his
Waste Disposal contract. Council
decided to rehire Mr. Chamney
as they felt his services were
quite satisfactory.

Planning was read. Also a letter
from the Assessment Department
with the information that assess-
ment notices will be delivered
to all assessed persons before
January 6. The final date to lodge
complaints for appeal has been
extended to February 11, 1976,
because of the postal strike.
Correspondence from the Min-
istry of Housing, stated that the
Amendment number 12 to the
Official Plan had been approved
and recommended by the Huron
County Planning Department
February was set for the Ontario
Municipal Board Hearing. A
letter from the Manager of the
Bank of Commerce, Goderich,
stated they are doing a complete
study and will look into extend-
ed banking hours for the sub
agency in Bayfield. It was learn-
ed that the clerk, Mr. Gordon
Graham will be out of his office
on December 5, attending a
Financial Seminar in London,
sponsored by TEIGA.
Mr. Bill Riehl of Clinton and
Mrs. Ed Oddleifson attended the
meeting at the request of Connell,
to view the designs submitted
for a Village Crest. No decision
was reached and a further meet-
ing will be held. Mrs. Oddleif-
son also showed council some
photos she had had enlarged for
a Pictorial Display for the Old
Town Hall during Centennial.
She is putting out a call for pict-
ures to be loaned to her so as to
complete her project.

loan to her, please contact her.
She would be most grateful for
your belt.
Mrs. Oddleifson also showed
council an advertising poster
she had fashioned, depicting
some aspects of village life.
Sheoffered to make a few of
these, with the hope that some of
the merchants will agree to post
them in their business establish-
ments to advertise the Centen-
nial. She was highly commended
for her efforts and thanked by
council for he; interest.

Harvey Desjardine, of Edmon-
ton, Alberta, son of Mr..and Mrs,
Maurice Desjardine of Huron
Park, and grandson of Mrs.
Mabel Desjardine, was married
Saturday at Grand Bend United
church, by Rev. Harley Moore,
to Debra McKinnon, daughter
of Mr, & Mrs. John Gurgeon,
Vancouver, B.C.
Maid of honor was Joanne
McKinnon of Montreal, sister
of the bride, and junior brides-
maid was Carleen Desjardine,
sister of the groom.
Best man was Ken Schroeder
of Zurich, ushers were Lee
Desjardine, brother of the groom
and Stephen Leahan, Owen
Sound,
Harvey is serving with the
Canadian Arniy and after their
wedding trip the young couple
will be stationed in Trenton.
After the service, the wedding
party stopped at South Huron
Hospital to visit Harvey's grand-
mother, Mrs. Mabel Desjardine,
who is a patient there.
