The snow keeps coming and
going, but eventually we will
likely end up with a white Christ-
mas. All our Christmas trees
and decorations are up and we
are preparing for all the Christ-
mas festivities which will be tak-
ing place.
On Monday evening films were
shown followed by refreshments.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the
Horne held their Christmas
meeting on Tuesday evening.
The members of the St. Boniface
Church choir presented an even-
ing of Christmas music. Santa
Claus visited and presented
each resident with a Christmas
gift. Lunch was served and a
social time followed.
The kitchen staff are busy
preparing goodies for the resid-
ents' Christmas party on Friday
evening at 7 p.m. Entertainment
and refrt shments will be served.
All friends and families of the
residents are invited to attend.
Bingo was held on Friday even-
ing followed by coffee.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
H. Moore of Grand Bend United
Church. Mrs. Love was organist
and accompanied the choir during
the worship service.
Mr. and Mrs. Luther of Hen-
sall and three members of the
Salvation Army Band also visited
on Sunday evening. Christmas
Carols were sung and treats were
distributed to the residents
by Mr. and Mrs. Luther, which
were very much appreciated.
GRAND BEND PERSONALS
Mrs. Lennea Statton of White"
Rock, B.C., visited this past
two weeks with Mr. & Mrs.
Lawrence Johnson and other
friends and relativF ; in Grand
Bend. Mrs. Statton and her son
Fred have now left for Detroit
to spend Christmas with her
son, Mr. & Mrs. Gib Statton
and family,

Mr. & Mrs. Jerome Sweeney
and Sister Elaine were in Windsor
for the weekend, also attending
the funeral of their grandmother.
Ecumenical meeting
The Christmas Ecumenical
meeting was held Thursday
evening at the Church of God
with 80 in attendance,
Guests were present from the
Catholic, Anglican and United
churches. Mrs. Morley Desjar-
dine chaired the meeting.
She read passages of the
Christmas Bible story which
was alternated by all singing
many of the favorite Christmas
carols.
