the bazaar and tea held by the Huron Country Playhouse Guild. Mrs. Marney Brown,
right, hostess for the bazaar, was also the creator of the gingerbread house. Admiring

Husbands guests at Dashwood

The December and Christmas
meeting of Dashwood Women 's
Institute was held at the Green
Forest Hotel Grand Bend with
the executive in charge. Husb-
ands or a friend were guests
and 41 sat down to a Christmas
dinner in a lovely Christmas
setting.
Following dinner, the presid-
ent, Mrs. Ray Rader greeted
everyone and conducted a brief
business meeting. Members
were reminded to send greetings
to their secret pals.
It was decided to put Christmas
greetings to other institutes in the
Exeter paper, A member confined

Sharon Rader, London, spent
a few days with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader last
week.
Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Gould,
Windsor, spent the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Chandler.
The S & C bridge , club held
their Christmas dinner meeting
at the Village Inn, Thursday,
December 4. Following dinner,

Bvead Beaters 4H, No. 1 club
held their sixth meeting Tuesday
evening at Mrs. Smeeken's
home with eight girls and two
leaders present.
Roll call was to name the
supper dish you had made
using bread as the main ingred-
ient.
At this meeting they made
several kinds of sweet breads
including Swedish tea ring,
Hungarian bubbles and chelsea
buns, which they sampled
for lunch.
The girls record book cover
was designed by Matilda Van
Leeuwen.

social evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Morrison
and Jennifer, Varna were visitors
with Rev. and Mrs. Bruce Guy
on the weekend.

were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rader,
London; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mil-
ler and girls, Zion; and Mr. and
Mrs. Dave Rader and Stacey.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Maine,
Kitchener, were weekend visitors
with Mr. and Mrs. Reinhold
Miller.

Mrs. Jim Lynn, Woodham,
Saturday evening.

Riddell is ag critic
Jack Riddell, MPP for Huron -
Middlesex, has been appointed
agriculture critic for the provin-
cial Liberal party, it was an-
nounced Friday.
Mr, Riddell replaces Murray
Gaunt (Huron -Bruce), who has
been appointed chairman of the
Liberal caucus.

PROTECTION
Fire protection offered by the Dashwood Volunteer
Fire Department to the rural area of Hay Township
WILL BE
DISCONTINUED
As of January lst, 1976
The Police Village of Dashwood has been unable to
negotiate an acceptable contract with Hay Township
for fire protection service and is therefore forced
to discontinue offering fire protection to this
area.
To those affected within Hay Township, please
contact your Township Clerk for information as to
where you should phone in case of future fire
protection requirements.
