In a closely contested South
Huron intermediate league
game played Friday night Arkona
edged the Shipka Colonials 7-6.
The Colonials will be back in
action Friday night when they
travel to the Zurich arena to meet
the Zurich Flyers in an 8:30
p,m. contest. Monday, the Shipka
club meets the Huron Park Plugs
at the Huron Park arena.
Arkona jumped in front quickly
with four goals before the Colon-
ials could find the scoring range.
Paul Maguire- fired the first
Shipka marker at 12,52 of the first
period on a pass from Stan Lovie.
The Colonials outscored Ark-
ona three goals to two in the
middle frame. Dan Dalton pulled
the trigger on two of the suc-
cessful shots while Pete Gil
fired the other. Shane Burely
picked up a pair of assists while
Paul Maguire, Steve Schroeder
and Stan Lovie each provided
one pass.
Pete Gil and Shane Burley
each scored on unassisted efforts
in the final game to complete the
Shipka scoring.
The three stars were Ed Molloy
and Jim Laird of Arkona and
Shane Burley of the Colonials.

Obituaries
MARY MARGARET BISBACK
Mrs. Grant Bisback, the form-
er Mary Margaret Schade, of
Hensall passed away at Vict-
oria Hospital in London on
Monday December 8, 1975.
Active in many community
activities, Mrs. Bisback was well
known and respected throughout
the Hensall community.
She is survived by her husb-
and, sons James A. Bisback of
Shakespeare, Peter B. Bisback
of Hensall, Allan D., Kevin R.
and a daughter Cynthia A.,
all at home.
Mrs. Bisback is also survived
by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Elmer Schade of Egmondviile, •
and one grandchild.
Mrs. Bisback is resting at the
R.S. Box Funeral Home in
Seaforth until time of service
on Thursday at two o'clock.
Rev, Donald R. Beck will offic-
iate. Interment will be in Eg-
mondville Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian
Cancer Society would be apprec-
iated by the family as expres-
sions of sympathy.
RUSSELL JAMES KYLE
Russell James Kyle passed away
at SL Catharines General Hospit-
al on Monday, December 1,
1975 in his sixty-sixth year. A
son of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Kyle of Hensall. Mr.
Kyle was the beloved husband
of Dorothy (Savage) Kyle.
Mr. Kyle is also survived by
a son Edward of Richmond Hill
and a grandson Tracey. Also
mourning his loss are brothers
Roy of Timmins and David of
Hensall and sisters Mrs. Claire
(Dorothy) Tuckey of London and
Mrs. Arnold (Belle) Merner of
Zurich. He was predeceased by
a brother Byron (Doc) in 1972.
Mr. Kyle rested at the Butler
Funeral Home until noon on
Wednesday, December 3 when
funeral service was held, with int-
erment at Victoria Lawn Cemet-
ery.

Consitt gave a detailed report
of the CPT committee meeting
and the euchre held recently
and stated a euchre had been set
tentatively for January 15. Mrs.
Dorothy Parker, Vice Grand
reported for the visiting com-
mittee. The "Secret Pal" meeting
will be held on January 7 when
members will honour their Secret
Pals.
Following the businesa, Mrs.
Margaret Ingram, financial
secretary presided for the pro-
gram. Pianist, Mrs. Evelyn Mac -
Beath led in singing Christmas
carols, after which all joined
in a "Rebakah" contest. Mrs.
Belva Fuss favoured with three
Christmas songs.
Mrs. Margaret Ingram gave
several readings on "How the
Christmas Season is celebrated in
Austria, Iceland, the Netherland
Norway, Sweden and Christmas
in Colonial America." The
program concluded with carol
singing and Mrs. Inez McEwen
distributed the gifts from the
Christmas tree.
LEGION PARTY
The Hensall Legion Ladies'
Auxiliary met Tuesday with the
president Mrs. Moma Campbell
presiding. Plands were finalized
for the "Children's Christmas
Party". Arrangements were
made to cater to a banquet

in December. Plans will be sent
life members and shut-ins this
season. Members are selling
tickets for "The Money Doll."
The draw ill be made on
December 24:
The mystery prize was won
by Wanda McClinchey and the
guessing prize by Margaret Van -
stone. The members exchanged
