Three cars in collision near

Three cars were involved in
an accident just south of Hensall
Meeting at
GB church
Prayer meeting was held in
the Church of God, Tuesday
evening, and Rev. John
Campbell spoke on the topic,
"Using our talents."
Following prayer meeting
14 ladies met in the church for
their regular November
meeting.
During the business a new
president, Mrs. Dorothy
McGregor, was elected. Past
president, Mrs. Rufus Turn-
bull had served that capacity
for 19 years.
The current status symbol is
'an unlisted zip code number.
Monday in which total damage
amounted to $2,600.
Two northbound cars driven
by Gerald Reid, Exeter and
Reginald Arnold, London, had
to swerve to miss a southbound
car driven by Eric S. Douchette,
London and all three ended up
in the ditch. The Arnold vehicle
was not damaged, but the Reid
and Douchette vehicles collided
with the resulting damage.
The accident occuved at
7:05 a.m. and was investigated
by OPP Constable Doi Masai.
The only other Qt'rash .of the
week occurred on` Satyptdav at
11:05 p.m. in •Zikrich/involving
a vehicle owned by Jeffrey Dean
Desch. RR 3 Zurich. The vehicle
rounded Main St. onto John
and struck two trees.
Oesch informed police the
vehicle had been stolen, but
police allege he was the driver
and have charged him with
mischief and failing to report
an accident.
Damage to the car was set at
$1,000 by Constable Ed Wilcox.

favourite recipe using milk" was
answered by 21 members. The
speaker, Mr. Ansley, from
Dashwood Industries, showed a
film giving the history of the firm
from its beginning in 1928 as a
small planing mill in Dashwood to
its present building at Centralia
employing 449 people,ahout half
of them women. The film also
illustrated the making of windows
from the time the lumber is felled
to thc completed building with
tvood windows installed. By using
the ni illcniunl process these

Lavender, has been charged with
assaulting a police officer and
also with obstruction. The charge
was laid after Constable Brill
McIntyre was assaulted during
an investigation at Lavender's
residence,
Another area man, Albert
Rooseboom, has been charged
with possession of stolen property
as the result of police investi-
gation into the theft of a tape
player from Lavenders residence.
Other incidents investigated
by Exeter OPP this week, in-
cluded the theft of a flag from the
residence of John Payne, Oak-
wood Park; damage of. $50 to
some field tile piled in a field
owned by Paul Coates, RR1
Centralia, and damge to a mail
box owned by Ed Mittleholtz,

RR 3 Exeter. The latter had been
removed from its post and put on
the roadway by youngsters, It
was hit by a passing vehicle.
During the week, the OPP
officers charged 22 people under
the Highway Traffic Act, 12 under
the Liquor Control Act and eight
under the Criminal Code. There
were 34 warnings under the High-
way Traffic Act.
