BLUE WATER REST HOME
r.. - AAS. Gad
While the calendar says we
are well advanced into the
month of November, it hardly
seems possible when we are
enjoying almost summer-like
weather. Of course this is a
great advantage to the
contractor who is - con-
structing the Senior Citizens'
apartment complex across
the road. The underground
water and sewage systems
have been completed and
with a little luck, the floors
will all be poured before the
weekend and the construction
of the walls and roof will get
under way. Applications are
available for the apartments
at the office here at the
Home. Already some apar-
tments have been reserved.
These apartments will be
available for people who are
capable of enjoying complete
independent living.
Films were enjoyed as
usual on Monday evening
followed by coffee.
On Tuesday morning Mr.
Lawrence Wein gathered
with Residents in the dining -
room for a sing -a -long.
On Thursday evening, the
ladies of the Zurich Men-
nonite church entertained the
Residents- to a social evening.
Several groups of children
presented musical numbers
and were very much enjoyed
by the audience. Following
the program, refreshments
and a social time was en-
joyed.
On Friday evening the
regular bingo was held.
We would like to express a
sincere thank -you to all who
attended the bazaar and bake
sale on Saturday. The
Residents have been working
hard for weeks for this oc-
casion. They enjoyed the
excitement of having so many
visitors around as well as
watching the great demand
for their craft room articles.
