Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Veld-
hoern and Michael of Toronto
were dinner guests on Saturday
with Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal
and in the afternoon Mr. and
Mrs. John Bloomfield of London
and Mr. Gratton of Grand Bend
visited.
Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal
and. Mrs. Audrey Christie visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wat-
son in Seaforth on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herb Stretton
were holidaying in Kentucky and
Indiana last week. They had a
very enjoyable time.
Visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Schwalm, Mrs. Daisy
Ivey and Mrs. Elizabeth Volland.
were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Dyke
of Goderich, Mr. and Mrs. Randy
Mason and Andrew of Huron

of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Des-

Margaret Ingram and Mrs.

Miss Margaret Hyde of London
visited over the weekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harv-
ey Hyde.
Mrs. Laird Mickle returned
Sunday from a pleasant two
week's visit in Hamilton and
while there heard the famous
pianist, Van Cliburn in the Great
Hall at Hamilton Place.
Mrs. Felix Boogemans and
Scott spent the weekend with
the former's mother, Mrs. Pearl
Passmore.
PRESBYTERIAN W.M.S.
The November meeting of
Carmel Presbyterian Church
W.M.S. was held in the church
basement. President Mrs. Hyde
opened the meeting with a
poem, "Has someone seen
Christ in you today?" Mrs.
Charles Soldan was in charge of
devotions and opened with"0
Canada." The topic was "Lets
Live" and was prepared by a
joint committee of Presbyterian
and United Church people in the
county of Middlesex. She also
spoke on Remembrance Day and
told of visiting the cemetery in
Kitchener where the remains of
the soldiers of World War II
are buried. She followed this with
a poem, "In Foreign Fields,"
and then closed with the Lord's
Prayer. The offering was dedic-
ated.

Mrs. Hyde reviewed her Miss-
ionary Map on Central Africa.
The nominating committee is
Mrs. Perc Campbell and Mrs,
MacDougall. The Christmas
meeting will be on December 1
when lunch will be served. The
meeting closed with the Benedict-
ion.
