(News Photo) Hensall Legion and Auxiliary take part in service The members of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary paraded to St. Paul's Anglican Church for the Rem- embrance Day Service on Sunday. Comrade Murray Traquaire read the lesson. Mrs. Eric Luth- er sang "Amazing Grace" accompanied by Mr. Luther at the console of the organ. The text of the sermon by Rev. G.A. And- erson was taken from the lesson that was read from the first Epistle to the Corinthians, chapter 15, verses 50 to the end. The Laying of Wreaths followed at a service at the Cenotaph. COUPLES CLUB The 3 C's Couples Club held a Hallowe'en Dance in Staffa Hall with fourteen couples in 38th Annuu! Meeting OF THE HENSALL DISTRICT CO-OPERATIVE INC. WILL BE HELD AT THE Pineridge Chalet , Wed® Nov. 26, 1975 AT 8:00 P.M. Purpose of Meeting. 1. To present the annual statement for the fiscal year, December 1. 1974, to July 31, 1975. 2. To elect 3 directors for a term of 3 years. The terms of John Campbell, Claire Deichert and Donald Brodie have expired. John Campbell is eligible to be elected for a second 3 -year term. Claire Deichert and Donald Brodie are not eligible for re-election. Nominations for the office of Director must be in the hands of the Secretary of The Co-operative 5 days prior to the meeting. 3. To appoint auditors for the ensuing year. 4. To attend to such matters as may properly be dealt with at an annual meeting. BOARD OF DIRECTORS President: Donald Brodie, Varna Vice President: John Campbell, Brucefield Secretary: Elgin Hendrick, Dashwood DIRECTORS Claire Deichert, Chester Sturdy, John Campbell, Keith Horner, Ken Rogerson, Ross Corbett Allan Hayter. At the end of the annual meeting, there will be entertainment, followed by lunch. attendance. Almost everyone came in costume and provided much laughter. We danced to the music of Nelson Howe's Orchest- ra. Alice Gardner and Pat Taylor won a spot dance. The Cromarty ladies served a delicious lunch to close the evening. The next get- together will be a bowling party at Grand Bend on Monday, Novem- ber 24. UNITED CHURCH SERVICE The United Church Service was conducted by Rev. Don Beck with Mrs. John Turkheim at the organ singing the anthem, "One Church, one Faith, one Lord" and the sermon subject being "Choose Life". Special services will be conducted at both Hensall and Chiselehurst to be followed by a pot -luck luncheon;Sunday, November 23. 4-H CLUBS The fourth meeting of the 4-H clubs, the Kneeded 7 and the Dough Doos, took place on Tuesday, November 4 at the United Church. The roll call was answered by 14 girls. The leaders demonstrated how to make sour -dough and the making of sweet roll dough and all the girls participated in making different shapes, figure eights and more new shapes created by the girls themselves. The 4-H girls sold poppies on November ts. it was a great success. ZURICH and DISTRICT Bible Society 1975 Canvass Canvassers will be calling in Zurich and District during the balance of the month of Nov- ember.
