News of Varna Area
Mr. Hank Broeze has been
transferred from Clinton
Hospital to St. Joseph's
in London for surgery. We
hope he will have a good
recovery.
Friends and neighbours
of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kuhl
gathered at the home of Mr,
and Mrs. Bill Chessell on Sat-
urady evening for a farewell
party and presented them with
a gift for their new home in
Caryndale.
Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Hayt-
er visited their daughter
Darlene in Guelph on Sunday.
They drove through areas
where fields of grain had nev-
er been cut, and saw other
fields which were cut and not
combined because of the over-
abundance of rain in those
areas. Farmers in this area
have been more fortunate,
with some of them reporting
above average yields.
