Lorna Darlene Porter and Douglas Francis Geoffrey
were united in marriage, Saturday, October 4, 1975 at
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with Rev. Father
Mooney officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne A. Porter of Exeter. The groom is the son
of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Geoffrey, R.R.2, Zurich. Maid of
honour was Lois Porter, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids
were Paulette St. Pierre, friend of the bride, Mrs. Darlene
Finkbeiner, Mrs. Colleen Wilson, sisters of the groom.
Best man was Gary Hartman, friend of the groom. Ushers
Harvey Stewart, cousin of the bride, Randy Geoffrey
and Steve Geoffrey, brothers of the groom. Flower girl
was Julie Porter, cousin of the bride and ringbearer
was Shawn Finkbeiner, nephew of the groom. Mrs. Tillie
Rau was organist, joined by Julie Rau in singing the
hymns. After a honeymoon in Florida, the couple will

4-H CLUB REPORTS

On October 15 the Yeasty
Yummies held their third
meeting at Mrs. Garrett's
home. Roll call was "At
what meal do you eat the most
bread?" We discussed what
breads to make for Achieve-
ment Day. We also listed five
characteristics of batter
bread. (1) It has more liquid.
(2) No kneading required
(3) Has more texture (4)
Top is slightly rounded and
soft (5) It is rough with small
bubbles. Our next meeting
was at the home of Mrs.
Phoenix on October 22.

We had our October meet-
ing at the home of Karen
Talbot. We had to bring
and show a food label from
a convenient yeast product.
We discussed the goodness
of bread; a food guide for
health; sweet dough for rolls
and buns and sour dough
bread. We all shaped baking
rolls. We would like to thank
Mrs. Talbot for having us
at her home. Our next meet-

Joanne Sturgeon on Wed-
nesday, October 29, at 7 p.m.
