Mrs. Fred Batstone, of Richmond Hill, spent a few days in Zurich visiting with her mother, Mrs. Anne Turk- heim. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Eickm- eier and Mrs. George Eick- meier from Brodhagen were Sunday visitors with Mrs. Edna Eickmeier. Mrs, Herb Klopp, Mrs. Irene McClinchey, Mrs. Annie Finkbeiner, Mrs. A.C. Black- well and Mrs. Jack Turk - helm attended the assembly of Lutheran Church Women at Elmwood last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Roger Foley and children of London and Mr. and Mrs. David Sams, of Hamilton spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Witmer, FAREWELL PARTY Thirty-five neighbours gathered at the home of Mrs. Irene Farwell on Monday night for a farewell party. Mrs. Farwell is moving to Mt. Carmel to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Regier. Her friends enjoyed playing cards and served a lovely lunch after which Mrs. Ther- esa Hartman read an address and presented' Mrs. Farwell with a beautiful flower ar- rangement of artificial pink. roses that will always remind her of her many friends in Zurich. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Nick - los, of Flint, Michigan, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Annan and family,and Mr. and Mrs. Edith Miller, of Tim- mins, spent the week with Mrs. Marie Pask and Mrs. Tillie Tetreau. A family dinner "was held Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mc- Adams. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Milton Mc- Adams and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bassow and Emma. Mr. and Mrs, Don O'- Brien spent Saturday even- ing in London with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Yungblut. Mrs. Minnie Karn and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Knapp of Chesley were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Milton Oesch. Bayfield On Sunday, October 19, Mr. and Mrs. John Zandwyck entertained about 48 guests in honour of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Martin who celebrat- ed their 25th wedding anniv- ersary.
