Mr. Stanley Mitchell and
Mr. and Mrs. Elgin Hendrick,
Grand Bend were Sunday
evening guests with Mrs.
Laird Mickle.
Robbie Lavery, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Lavery had
the misfortune to slip. on Sat-
urday while working on the
corn picker at the farm of
Harold Elder on Saturday
evening and severed a toe
injuring others and fracturing
his ankle. He was taken to
South Huron Hospital, Exeter,
where he was treated and is
recovering.
Services in Carmel Presbyt-
erian church will commence
at 10 a.m. standard time for
the winter months. Members
of .the congregation attended
the 114th Anniversary serv-
ice in Caven Presbyterian
church Exeter on Sunday
when the guest speaker was
Senator Richard Stanbury.
Mrs. Pearl Case of London
visited with friends in the vill-
age on Monday.
Mrs. Pearl Shaddick ret-
urned home after visiting
with Mrs. T. Flynn in Sea -
forth.

PLANS EUCHRE
The regular meeting of
Amber Rebekah Lodge was
held on Wednesday evening
with Noble Grand Mrs. Bertha
MacGregor in the chair ass-
isted by the Vice Grand Mrs.
Dorothy Parker. The members
draped the charter in Memory
of the late Sister Lillian
Blackwell. Mrs. Olga Chip -
chase L.S.N.G. reported for
the finance committee, Mrs.
Dorothy Parker, Vice Grand
reported for the visiting com-
mittee. Tickets were avail-
able for the Grand Master's
banquet to be held in Huron
Centennial School on Octob-
er 24. Plans were made for a
Euchre Party on November
5 to which everyone is wel-
come.

daying on a three wek's
