Hensall, spent Thanksgiving
with Mrs. Edith Bell and Syl-

Rev. W.D. Jarvis conducted
Thanksgiving service in Car-
mel Presbyterian Church on
Sunday. The auditorium
was decorated in keeping
with the holiday. The choir
sang the anthem "Near to
the Heart of God" under
the direction of the organist
Mrs. Malcom Dugall. There
will be no Sunday service on
October 19 owing to Anniver-
sary service in Caven Church,
Exeter.

LEGION AUXILIARY
The Ladies Legion Auxil-
iary held their meeting on
Tuesday evening in the Legion
Hall with Mrs, Mona Camp-
bell presiding. the members
decided to hold a "Christmas
Party" for the children on
December 7, and also to have
the draw for the "Christmas
Money Doll." They will can-
vass for the Institute for the
Blind. The mystery prize
was won by Gerry Chappell;
the guessing prize by Joan
Beierling; and the attendance
prize by Iva Reid.
Mrs. Bertha MacGregor
and Mrs. Eric Monroe, Sea -
forth returned home after
holidaying in Parry Sound and
Midland.

Mrs. Annie (Eyre) COle,
widow of the late William
A. Cole passed away in Suth
Huron Hospital, Exeter, on
Tuesday, October 7, in her
81st year.
Surviving is one son Alvin,
R.R.2, Staffa, one brother
Campbell Eyre, Hensall;
and two grandchildren
Donald and Jean Cole,
Funeral service was held
from the Bonthron Funeral
Chapel on Friday at 2:30
p.m. with Rev. DOn Beck off-
iciating.
