APPLES 5, delicious; Darlene Steckle, Sherry Steckle, Karen Steinbach, Mrs. Arabelle Merner, wife of the late John Wesley Merner, passed away in St. Joseph Hospital on Monday, September 22, 1975. Mrs. Mcrner was the former Arabelle Snider. Surviving are three daught- ers; Mrs. Catherine Burn, Streetsville; Mrs. Jack (Mary) Fasken, Elora and Mrs. Har- old (Joan) Smith, of Zurich. One son, Jack, predeceased her. One brother Lloyd G. Snider, Elmira and one sister Miss Marie Snider, Kitchen- er also survive. Mrs. Merner leaves eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. The body is resting at the Westlake Funeral Home until Thursday, September 25, where funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Guy officiating. The Forrest orchestra accomp- anied the singing of the hymns Steel girders for the roof of the addition to the Big '0' Drain Tile Company Limited were hoisted into place on Monday morning. The work is being carried out by John Relouw of Exeter. The newly decorated ground floor of the Town Hall will be re -opened to the public this evening. Robb of Lucan, Mrs. Hanka Tiesma and daughter Helena of Clinton, Mrs. Margaret Hoggarth and daughter Janet of Kippen and Mrs. Gary Finlayson and son Randy of Staffa. BABY SHOW WINNERS - A total of 25 babies were entered in the annual Baby Show held each year in conjunction with tie Zurich Fall Fair. Winners in the class up to six months were left to right, first Jennifer Wegand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Weigand, R.R.1, Dash- wood; second, Heather Steckl*, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Steckle, R.R.11, Zurich; third, Jamie Ramer, son of Mrs and Mrs. Jim Ramer, Zurich. Th,e event is sponsored by the Zurich and District Chamber 4f Commerce. Judges were Dr. F. Mills, MOH for Huron, and two members of his staff.
