Mellis were Mr. and Mrs, Tom Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Sandy Gibson and Julie, of Wroxeter. Sympathy of the commun- ity goes out to the 'family of Mr. Robert Thomson. Mr. Tom Munroe held a very successful sale on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Art Gibson, Wroxeter visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Mellis. Mrs. Robert Baillie, Mit- chell, visited with relatives near Kippen on Saturday. KIPPEN EAST W .I. The Consumer Affairs meeting of Kippen East Women's Institute was held in the Legion Hall, Hensall with Mrs. A. McGregor host- ess and Mrs. Al Hoggarth as co -hostess. George, who had been with the 4-11 Exchange Program, showed slides of Alberta and told of his exp- eriences. George and Susan were presented with a gift by Mrs. Vern Alderdice, All joined in a sing song. The roll call "Name a Favour- ite recipe made with a dairy produce" was answered by 13 members and there were two visitors. Grace Drummond commented on the motto, "The farm is the food factory of the Nation - Let's keep the Assembly Line Rolling." Mary Broadfoot gave current events and Margaret Hogg- arth conducted two contests. The Fall Rally willbe held in Belgrave October 6 and the Area Convention will be in St. Thomas October 15 and 16. The October meeting will likely be held the second Wednesday. Leaders for the club Bak- ing with Yeast" will be Mrs, L. Bean, Mrs. Don Mac- Gregor, Linda Bell, Linda Vanneste, Beth Cooper and Sharon Finlayson. Dele- gates to the Area Convention will be Frances Kinsmen and Grace Drummond and the del- egates to the Rally to be pick- ed later. Mona Alderdice gave courtesy remarks and Olive Varley and Charlotte Pull- man served lunch. Cook books will be sold at Exeter and Seaforth Fall Fairs.
