Dilling of Sarnia visited on
Sunday with their parents

Londn visited on Sunday with

Noble Grand Mrs. Marg-
aret Consitt presided for the
meeting of Amber Rebekah
Lodge on Wednesday evening
assisted by the Vice Grand
Mrs. Bertha MacGregor.
The treasurer Mrs. Dorothy
Corbett gave the financial
report of the lodge; Mrs, Ruby
Bell reported for the finance
committee; Mrs. Bertha Mac-
Gregor reported for the visit-
ing committee. An invitation
was received for the Oddfel-
low and Rebekah Rally.

of the sale at the booth at

were very gratifying. Plans

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Goodwin
of Kitchener visited on Sun-
day with Mrs. Audrey Chris-

Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Mac-
Gregor are holidaying with
Mrs. Wiliam MacGregor and
with Mr. and Mrs. Edgar
McClinchey.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brock
have taken up residence
in Exeter this week.
Miss Beatrice Thompson
and John Thompson return-
ed to Fanshawe College to
resume their studies.
Miss Margaret Hyde, of
London spent the weekend
with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Harvey Hyde.
Mrs. Bertha MacGregor
was a recent visitor with Mrs,
Eric Munroe, in Seaforth.
Obituary
ALICE EDNA TRAQUAIR
Alice Edna Traquair of
Hensall, the former Alice
Mitchell, passed away at the
Blue Water Rest Home in
Zurich on Tuesday, Septemb-
er 16, 1975 in her 80th
year. She was the beloved
wife of the late Melville
J. Traquair.
She is survived by four
sons, John of R.R.7, St.
Thomas, Murray of R.R.2,
Kippen, Arthur of Woodstock
and Robert of Sarnia.
The late Mrs. Traquair
is also survived by a brother,
Stanley Mitchell, of Exeter,
and a sister Mrs. Olive Hort-
on of Hensall, ten grandchild-
ren and three greatgrand-
children.
Funeral service was held
September 25, 1975,
Thursday, September 18
at two o'clock from the Bonth-
ron Funeral Home in Hensall
with Rev. Donald Beck offic-
iating.
Interment was in Hensall
Union Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Van
Driel, Sr., of Oud Beyerland,
Holland were dinner guests
with Mr. and Mrs. Sim Roobal
on Friday. They came from
Holland to attend the wed-
dings of their sons, Peter
Jr., and Andy, Van Driel.
Miss Jane Van Driel and
Mrs. Peter Van Driel of
Bayfield were Friday evening
guests with Mr. and
Mrs. Sim Roobal.
Mr. Bill Gibson, who has
been holidaying in Vancuver,
has returned home and will be
operating his shop as usual.
John D. Noakes, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Noakes
who graduated from Radio
College of Canada, Friday,
received an award in recognit-
ion of his outstanding achieve-
ment in his curse of studies
of electronics.
At the annual Presentat-
ion dinner given by the
Seaforth Community Hospital
Board, Mrs. Lavina Norris,

Mr. Ed Boyes, Mr. Ed
Fischer and Mrs. Hilda Payne
were presented with plaques
acknowleding their years
of service at the hospital.

to lynch Him" was the subject
Of the sermon preached by
Rev. Don Beck at the United
Church last Sunday. Mrs.
John Turkheim was at the
organ and the choir sang
the anthem "Now is come
Salvation." Members are
reminded of the bale which
is t be packed on Tuesday,
September 30.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brock
were entertained by their
neighbours at a farewell
party at the home of Clar-
ence Parke. After receiving
their gifts, they fittingly
thanked all. A delicious lunch
was served. Mr. and Mrs.
Brock are now residing in the
Senior Citizens Apartment
on Sanders Street, in Exeter.
We wish them . good health
and happiness in their new
home.
Harvest Thanksgiving
Service was held at St.
Paul's Anglican Church.
The service was conducted
by the Rev. G.A. Anderson.
The theme of the sermon
