BLUE WATER REST HOME
It would seem that the
weatherman threw the book
at us over the weekend, since
we experienced everything
from rain, hail and even a.
skiff of snow which seems
very early for this time of
the year. At least we can still
look forward to Indian Sum-
mer. Even the trees in the
surrounding bushes have not
taken on their autumn colours
as yet.
Perhaps those passing by
have noticed that the cont-
ractors are at work in the
first stages of the erection
of the Senior Citizen's apart-
ments directly across the road

from the present home. These
apartments have been in the
planning stages for sometime
and we are happy to have
received the go-ahead on
them.
We were pleased to have
Mr. Lawrence Wein return
again on Tuesday morning
after the summer vacation
and to resume his winter
program of music in the din-
ing room with the residents.
The sympathy of residents
and staff is extended to the
family of the late Mrs. Edna
McFarlane.
A number of residents
enjoyed a bus ride on Friday
afternoon around Grand
Bend, Crediton and Exeter
areas.
A good number turned out
for the bingo on Friday even-
ing.
Interest has picked up in the
craft room now that vacat-
ions are over, and new mater-
ials for quilts and mats and
worn out nylons and panty-
hose would be very welcome.
On Sunday evening Mr.
Merlin Bender of the Lake-
view Mennonite church had
charge of the chapel service.
MEDITATION: -

To meet the challenge of their

Give us, Lord, a burdened
