Page 2 - Zurich Citizens News, September 18, 1975 'RICHARDSON REUNION The annual Richardson reunion was held at Hensall, Community Park on Sunday, September 7 with 60 in attendance. Ruth of Bayfield and sons Ron, of Clinton and. Wayne of Toronto were convenors. The usual races' were held for the children as well as lots of fun and games for the adults, followed by a buffet supper. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd O'Brien, of Zurich will be convenors for next year. RESIDENTS ENTERTAINED On Friday Mrs. Mabel. Shirray entertained the res- idents with piano selections. Miss Amy Lammie visited, with Vera Lammie. On Monday Mrs. Rochus Faber was in charge of the Presbyt- erian Ladies when they took several residents for a drive to Seaforth,Winthrop, Blyth, Clinton and visited a sanctu- ary north of Clinton. Tuesday Rev. W.D. Jarvis conducted the church service accompanied at the piano by Louise Mitchell. Mrs. Squire was visited by her niece Mrs. Ruth Brock, Goderich and her daughter Mrs. Anderson, Exeter. Visitors with Mrs. E. Sararus were Don and Jodi Sararus, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sararus, Toronto, Roy and Clara MacDonald. Mrs. Shirley Prouty visited Lin Latimore and Roy McDonald. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ford visited with Mrs. Etta May Ford. Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Parker, Bayfield visited Clara Featherston. Ilia Dunn, Exeter visited with Vera Lammie and Jim McQuaid visited Dan Mathews. Mr. and Mrs. Jim McNaught- on visited their mother Mrs. Ada Smillie. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sararus of Toronto were recent vis- itors with Mr. and Mrs. Ross Sararus and Mr. and Mrs. Roy MacDonald. Mr. and Mrs. Terry North and family of Fingal were. recent visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snell. Mrs. Ida Deinl of Seaforth visited this week with Mrs. Bertha MacGregor. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Flynn and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corb- ett returned home after holi- daying at Kincardine. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Hilt' ier of London were Sunday guests with Mrs. Laird Mickle. Mrs. Corbett, former- ly Hazel Morenz was a first cousin to the fatuous hockey player. Later Mr. and Mrs. Corbet visited with their son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robert Chaffe, Joey, Jackie and Tony at M itchell. CHISELHURST U.C.W. The Chiselhurst UCW held their September meeting in the church. President Mrs.. Erla Coleman opened the meeting with a poem. Thirt- een members answered the roll call with a Bible verse on "Thanks." Following the minutes the treasurer's report was given. Several -items of busin- ess were discussed and it was decided to hold the Fall Bazaar on October 22. The visiting committee reported calling on shut-ins during the summer. Mrs. Alf Ross favor- ed with ' a piano solo. Mrs. Rosa Harris presented the worship dwelling on "Prayer is the Key." Hymn 503 was sung and Mrs. Beatrice Boyce gave the study. The meeting closed with all repeating the "Theme". Mrs. Erla Coleman and Mrs. Vera Ross were hostesses. Rev. W.D. Jarvis conducted the service in Carmel Presbyt- erian Church on Sunday speaking on "God of all the Earth." The Session will meet on Tuesday, September 23 at 8 p.m. The Holy Com- munion will be observed on Sunday, October 5, at the hour of 10:15. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Flynn returned home after holiday- ing at Sauble Falls. Kippen news Mrs. Hazel Long, Owen Sound, has been visiting in the village. Wedding bells were ringing in St. Andrews church, Kippe, Friday, September 12 when Karen Farris became the bride of John Kinsman. Congratulations and best wishes! Miss Lynn Alderdice has returned to London to contin- ue her studies in Home Ec- onomics at Western. We are sorry to report that Mr. and Mrs. E. Stoll were involved in a serious accident and have been hospitalized. We hope for a speedy recovery.
