in the beautiful decorated
Sunday School of St. And
rew's Church, Kippen.
Program numbers were giv-
en by Sue Anne Finlayson on
the piano, a dance number
by the Finlayson girls and
Beth Consitt, a reading by
Mts. Grant Jones, "Patches
for Pete." and contests by
Chris McGregor and Lynn
Alderdice, piano numbers by
Mrs. R. Broadfoot.
Karen was presented with
many beautiful and useful
gifts by Beth Consitt, Karen
Pressey and Shelley Finlay-
son.
A delicious lunch was serv-
ed by Mrs. Robert McGregor
and Mrs. Orville Workman
and their assistants.
The Consumer Affairs
meeting of Kippen East W.I.
will be held in the Legion Hall
Hensall on September 17, at
8:30 p.m. Mrs. A. McGregor
is hostess and Mrs. A. Varley
is in charge of lunch. The
guest speaker will be George
Thompson of Clinton, who was
with the 4-1-1 Alberta Ex-
change group. Mrs. R. Broad -
foot will give current events
and the rol call is "Name a
favourite recipe" made with a
dairy product," Members are
reminded to bring a childhood
picture.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Thomson
have returned home from
Alberta and were accompan-
ied home by their son John,
who has been employed
there for the summer months.
Mr. Larry Wright, who has
been employed in Alberta
for the summer months,
has returned home and will
continue his studies at Fan-
shawe College.

dental care.

We are glad to report that
Rev, McWhinnie, Chaplain
of the Honie, who had the
misfortune to fracture his
ankle last week is getting
along real well. Rev. Wildfong
is taking the services during
his absence.
Mrs. Elsie Henderson
accompanied the Clinton
Christian Reformed song serv-
ice led by Dick Roorda,
The Rythm Band. from the
Goderich Phsychiatrie Hospit-
al led by Gordon Harrison
provided a musical program
on "Family Night." The
twelve member band play a
variety of instruments includ-
ing violin, mouth organ,
celcphone and vocal solos.
Mr. Nelson Lear thanked the
entertainers on behalf of the
residents.
The fifteen member Huron -
view Rythm Band accepted
an invitation to take part in
Friday afternoon's variety
program at the Blyth Thresh-
er's Reunion.
Thirty residents travelled
by bus to Blyth on Satur-
day afternoon to attend the
reunion.

Billy liar, the situation comedy series seen on CBC -TV Saturday

(played by Jeffe Rawle) whose fantasies complicate life for
himself and everyone else. In one of his typical daydreams,
Billy as "The Monster" creeps up on his unsuspecting Dad
(George A. Cooper), his severest critic and constant prodder.
