INSTITUTE Dashwood Women's Inst- itute held their first fall meeting Tuesday, September 2, with Agriculture and Canadian Industries group in charge and Mrs. Bill Berends, convenor. Nine guests were present, including Mary Ann Miltonberg, Dairy Prin- cess from Lucknow. She out- lined all the activities she had taken part in during 1974-75, as well as how she was chosen. Roll call was to bring a week which should be destroy- ed. Mrs. Berends read the motto "The Old Orchard" from Humanities in home spun. The Rader sisters; Carol, Barbara and Brenda played several numbers. Mrs. Ray Rader, president dealt with the business. It was decided to have a living room exhibit for Exeter Fair. A letter was read from Brother Bob Mittleholtz and it was announced that a local girl Adrienne VanRaay had left for India to assist him. The Fall Rally is to be held in Belgrave, Monday, October 6. It was decided to invite STAG FOR Richard Regier FRI., SEPT. 12 Zurich Arena the president of the South Huron Institutes, Mrs. Roy- lance Westcott, to the Novem- ber meeting. The convention will be held in St. Thomas October 15 and 16. OPEN HOUSE Mrs. Lloyd Rader held Open House Saturday, Sept- ember 6 in honour of her daughter Darlene's approach- ing marriage. Receiving guests with Darlene were her parents and the groom's mother, Mrs. Elson Lynn. Showing thesrgifts and trousseau were O'iga : Zemitis, Ginger Weber, Shelley Baker, Debbie Riddell and Susan Rader. In the evening were Joan Morgan,Sharon Lyer and Marilyn Rader. In charge of refreshments were Wendy Greer,Heather Rader, a nieve of the bride and her aunts Lily Restemay- er, Luella Willert and Mary Rader. In the evening were her cousins, Donna Restemay- er, Eleanor and Nancy Rader. Mrs. Morris Denomme is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Datars attended Press Day for the International Canad- ian and World Plowing Match at Oshawa, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schroeder have their aunt, Mrs. Frieda Breur, New Ham- burg, spending some time with them. Mrs. Susan Snider, Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, is spending some time with Mrs. Ed Nadiger and Helen. A number from here att- ended the Desjardine-Dietrich wedding at Zurich United Church and the reception at Zurich arena, including • the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Flossie Willert. The bride's sister, who also was an attendant, Mrs. Connie VanLeewen and son Jamie, Ottawa, spent the weekend with Mrs. Willert. Also at- tending were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Willert and Sheila and Ted Bear. Mr. and Mrs. Michael Fleet, newlyweds, Toronto, were visitors in town. Funeral service for the late Ed Nadiger was held Satur- day, September 6, with six nephews pall bearers; Wal- ter Nadiger, Wesley Filkins, Kenneth Hagar, Gerald Gil- ford and Orville Henderson. •MILVE•NA ERICKSON 'TELLS YOU ALL ABOUT BA INTERESTING HAPPENINGS IN Rev. We noticed some of our faithful cottage residents back for the weekend at their respective summer homes; Dr. Bill and Mrs. Tillmann and family and Mr. Norm Brown, all of London. Villagers will be sorry to learn that Elmer Eastman of Detroit, Michigan, passed away in Kississee, Horida, on Sunday. Mr. Eastman was the husband of the late Roxy Aldworth, formerly of this area, and an uncle of Don Warner, of Bayfield, and brother-in-law of Alf Warner of the village.
