Stanley Township Council
recently approved the $103,
168 tender submitted by Rog-
er MacEachern of Mount
Forest to build the picnic
pa1'illtOn on H ighway 21.
The highest tender rcccivcd
by Council for the project
totalled $127,000.
A petition for a municipal
drain on lots 21 and 22, conc-
ession 1(1 was rcccivcd while
council passed a tile drainage
loan for $9,000.
In other business," approval
was given to increase trailer
license fees from $10 to $15
per month; and a by-law
requiring swimming pools
to be fenced in was passed.
Council also paid $1,123
of its share of fees to the
Alexandra Marine and Gen-
eral Hospital.
Stanley Township accounts
for the month were general,
$84,059; roads, $17,186
and the Horton Municipal
Drain. $1,455.

Accidental death
PETER FRANCIS McCANN
Peter Francis McCann
passed away suddenly in Park-
hill on Thursday, August 28,
1975, the result of an indust-
rial accident. He was in his
20th year.
Surviving are his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold McCann
of R.R.3, Dashwood.He was
the brother of Mary Theresa,
of London, Reta, of Montreal,
Cathy and Ed, at home.
He was the grandson of Mrs,
Laura McCann, of Mt. Carmel
and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph
McIntyre, of London.
The body rested- at the T.
Harry Hoffman. Funeral Horne
Dashwood until Monday.
September 1, and mass was
held at Our Lady of Mt.
Carmel Church at 10 a.m, with
Rev J. Mooney officiating.
Interment was in Mt. Carmel
Cemetery.

Valley, Alberta is visiting with
his sister, Mrs. Emma Schilbe
and other relatives
Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Turkheirn from Waterloo,
were Sunday visitors with Mr.
