Mr. Earl Campbell who un- derwent surgery in St. Joseph Hospital, London last week is reported to be improving each day. Mrs. Annie Reid has acc- epted employment at the Queensway Nursing Home and commenced her duties this week. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Allison of Toronto visited with the latter's brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. Joe Flynn and with their mother Mrs. Mooney. Mrs. Bertha MacGregor returned home after spend- ing a week's vacation with Mr. and Mrs. Don Mac - Laren, Jodi and Brooke in Oakville and also visited with Cpl. Doug Wein RCMP and M,rs. Wein and David. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Corbett and Jeff in Company with Mr. and Mrs. Morris Taylor, Pam and Sandra, Clinton returned from a three week's trip to the Maritimes, visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bell in Newcastle, New Bruns- wick, and also with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Parks in Moncton, New Brunswick, they toured Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia and returned by way of Maine, Vermont and New York State. Mrs. Peter L. McNaughton returned home after under- going treatment in Vict- oria, London. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Mock and Jeff returned to their home in Toronto after holid- aying at the cottage R.R.2, Zurich. Residents at Queensway Nursing Home welcomed Danny Mathews formerly of Dublin to the home last week. Birthday greetings to Mr. Heywood who observed his birthday on August 27. Recent visitors to the home were Mrs. Hern with her mother Mrs. S. Squire; Clara MacDonald and Steve Sararus visited Mrs. E. Sararus; Flor- ence Hodge of Centralia visit- ed Louise Mitchell; Mr. and Mrs. Beneisk visited their aunt Miss Ruby Miners; Mr. and Mrs. Trambly also visited. Miss Miners Steve Simso visited Mr. Heywood; Mrs. A.Taylor was visited by her son Fred Taylor of Clinton; Mrs. Thom- as Brintnell visited Miss Isobel Brintnell; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nolan, Louise, Pamela and Margaret visited Dan Mathews Greta and Amy Laramie Katharine Sills, of London visited Vera Lammie. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ferguson and Mrs. Myrtle Sherritt. Mrs. Ed Corbett of the staff of the Bank of Montreal is on a three week's vacation. Chiselhurst Church will observe their 11th anniver- sary on Sunday September 7 at 2:30 p.m. when Rev. Harold Currie will be the guest speaker. Special music ity the Huronia Choir. The guest soloist will be Miss Marion Hofley, of Winnipeg. RESIDENTS ENJOY BUS TRIP Residents from Seaforth Manor in company with the residents of Queensway Nursing Home enjoyed a bus trip on Friday afternoon to Exeter, Mitchell, Fullar- Zurich Citizens News, September 4, 1975 Page 3 ton, to the Avon River at Stratford and to the Theatre at the Festival, returning by Mitchell where they were served refrshments in the Park. There was 44 in the group and the rain did not dampen their spirits as they all enjoyed the outing. Rev. VanEssen conducted church service on Tuesday. He was accompanied by his wife, son and daughter who wore the traditional Dutch costume which delighted the residents. Mrs. Hilda Payne visited with Mrs. Monteith and Mrs. Dilling. Mrs. Iva Ridley, Mrs. Ilia Dunn visited with Mrs. Vera Lammie and Mrs. Ford; Darlene Collett, Barb Mitchell and Leslie called on the latter's mother and took her to Crediton on Thursday to visit. Holiday visitors were Mrs. Anna Dilling, Bud and Lorraine Dilling of Scarboro; Edna and Jim Anderson and Debbie Reid with Mrs. Squire; Charlie and Hazel Snell and Hilda Mathews with Louise Mitchell; Doris Bonthron, Roy and Calra MacDonald with Mrs. E Sararus. On Saturday Delbert Taylor took his mother Mrs. A. Taylor to visit with her spn-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Dale; Mrs. Hugo Schenk, Mrs. Della Sims, Mrs. Irene Finkbeiner, and Mrs. Ed Hendrick visited the form- er's husband Hugo Schenk; Mr. and Mrs. Millford Prouty visited Roy MacDonald, Alex Barrett and Lin Latimore; Lour McIver visited with Dan Matthews; Mrs. Marion Penwarden, Mrs. Verda Wilson with Vera Lammie. Service will resume in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday, September 8, at the hour of 9 a.m. with Rev. Wilfred Jarvis in charge. Mr. Orville Taylor is a pat- ient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter, where he is receiving treatment. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Love of Cairo, Michigan, visited with the former's sister Mrs. Grace McEwen who is a pat- ient in South Huron Hospital. Visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Schwalm, were Mrs. Ivey and Mrs. Volland; the Misses Flora and Hazel Macdonald of Goderich; Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Robb, of Lucan, Mrs. Margaret Thrn- dyke of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. Art Coombs of Clinton and Miss Elsie Schofield of Park- hill.
