past week with her mother,

a weekend guest of his grand-

Latimer of Downsview called
on his grandmother on

the weekend with his cousin,

Toronto are holidaying this
week with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred LeBeau.
Mr. Bob Cluff, London
spent the weekend with his
wife and children at their
family cottage in the Vill-
age.
Mr. Jim McLeod Meric-
ourish, Nova Scotia visited for
a couple of days last week with
Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Scotch -
mer. Mr. Michael Scotchmer,
of Toronto returned home aft-
er holidaying with his parents
for the past week. Weekend
guest with Mr. and Mrs.
A.F. Scotchmer were their son
Calvin, London and son and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Steve
Scotchmer, Molly and Jody, of
St. Catharines. Mrs. Scotch -
mer and girls remained for
this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard
Scotchmer returned last week
to the village from a holiday
in the Huntsville area.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Burt
and sons, Tim and Ronnie, of
Woodstock, their daughter,
Miss Jo Anne of Toronto
and Mrs. Burt's mother, Mrs.
Gray of Toronto were at the
Burt home in the village last
week. Mr. and Mrs. Stan
Smith, Woodstock were
also at the Burt home for
a week 's vacation.
Mr. Clare Woodrow, Whit-
by is presently visiting with
his brother-in-law and sister,
Mr. and Mrs. Doug Gemein-
hardt.
Dr. and Mrs. Moore Hislop,
Port Huron, Michigan,
accompanied by his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Hislop
of Glasgow, Scotland were
guests Saturday of Mr. and
Mrs. Harry Baker. The His-
lop 's of Scotland remained
for a few days longer visit
with the Bakers.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Craig
returned home last week after
enjoying a holiday in Orillia,
Collingwood and the Algon-
quin area. Their grandaught-
er, Miss Joanne Layton of
Brucefield is spending this
week with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Aust-
en, Muskegon, Michigan,
were weekend guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Cook at their
summer home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bernard F:
Sturgeon, Jeff and Rollie
of Orangeville were guests
of his parents and brother,
Mr. and Mrs. Jack B. Sturg-
eon and Andrew for the week-
end.
Mrs. Ted Morley and Rob,
Cleveland, Ohio were at their
Home in the Village. With
them for a few days was Mr.
John Simms, a friend of Rob,
Mrs, Betty Teller and son
David of Avon Lake, Ohio
and Mrs. D. Van Treuren and
daughter Carol, Sheffield
Lake, Ohio.

and Mrs. Doug Gemeinhardt
who on Wednesday August
13 celebrated their 40th
wedding anniversary with a
family dinner at the Bavarian
Inn, Bayfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Rob Irwin,
London visited Saturday and
Sunday with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs, E.W. Erickson and
family.
Mrs. Eric Krobmer entert-
ained eleven young people on
Sunday afternoon, August 24
i'n honour of her youngest
son Tilo who that day cele-
brated his llth birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Rowse,
Cathy, Vicky, Jill and Dale,
and a friend Brenda Hand-
ford, all of London were
weekend guests of Mrs.
Rowse's mother, Mrs. L.B.
Smith. Jill and Dale stayed
this week with Grandma.
Mr. Bud Sturgeon and his
fiance Miss Barbara Davidson
were in Windsor for the week-
end as the guests of her par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Davidson.
Mr. Richard Westlake,
London spent the weekend
with his family, Mr, and Mrs.
Lloyd A. Westlake, Catherine
Ann and Paul.
Mr. Stephen Farris, stud-
ent minister and his wife
Patty who has been his ass-
istant at Knox Presbyterian
Church for the summer
preached his final sermon
Sunday last. He and his wife
left for Montgomery, West
Virginia where he will crry
on his regular duties in a
church and further his stud-
ies for the next year. Prior to
leaving Sunday, the congreg-
ation entertained the young
couple with a social hour and
presented them with a gift
of money. Services for the
month of September in Knox
Church will be conducted by
Mr. Dwight Nelson a student
minister at the University of
Toronto. Mr. Nelson is the son
of Rev. Nelson of Clinton and
Seaforth Presbyterian church
Mr. and Mrs. D. Collier,
London, Mr. Alan Armstrong
and Miss Shirley Wattie,
both of Ottawa;and Miss Win-
nie Armstrong of Oakville
were guests of Mr. and Mrs.
W.D. Armstrong, James and
Julia at R.R.3, Bayfield.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Woodrow
Orillia, spent Monday with
his aunt and uncle, Mr. and
Mrs. Doug Gemeinhardt.
