The preliminaries will take place at five o' clock in the afternoon, with the final judging scheduled for six o'clock. All the girls entered in the contest are asked to register with Mrs. Hubert Schilbe, Mrs. Schilbe reports that sev- en or eight girls have already been entered in the competit- ion, and she will still accept entries up until Saturday. Girls may enter the contest either with or without a spon- sor. Anyone wishing more information should contact Mrs. Schilbe at 236-4792, About people you know Mr. and Mrs. Bill O'Brien, and Jennifer of Niagara Falls visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy O'Brien on the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. O'Brien and family willbe leaving their home in Niagara for Burlington in a few weeks. Bill is employed with the Bank of Montreal and will work out of Toronto. Mrs. Vera Schilbe, of Kit- chener was a weekend guest with Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Schilbe. Mr. and Mrs. Grahame Farquhar and family of Waterloo spent the weekend with Miss Inez Yungblut. Mr. and Mrs. Farquhar, Julie and Eric, will be leaving shortly for a year's residency in England. Mr. and Mrs. George Over- holt and family of London visited with Mr. and Mrs. Phil Overholt and other relatives in the area over the weekend. Pancake breakfast To start off activities at the tenth annual Zurich and District Bean Festival this year will be a pancake and sausage breakfast served from eight o' clock in the morning until 11. This part of the Bean Festival is oper- ated by the Zurich Minor Athletic Association. Last year was the third for this new attraction and it ptoved to be quite popular with • all early visitors. Over 500 persons were served. Helping in the kitchen at the breakfast over the years has been Aunt Jemima, herself and arrangements are being made to have her back again this year.
