Festival general
committee oversees the plan-
ning and organization of the
event and the committee's
task is becoming an almost
year-round activity, so much
has the festival grown in it's
nine years of existence.
Backing up the general
committee is a large grup
of volunteers. There are sub-
committees in charge of
everything from cooking
beans to emergency arrange-
ments in the event of adverse
weather conditions. The sub-
committee report regularly
to the general committee on
progress through the year,
and as festival time nears the
meetings become more and
more frequently.
Chairman for this year's
festival is Glen Thiel, while
the vice chairman is Glen
Weido. Secretary is Mrs.
Betty Kirk, and Bob Reddick
serves as treasurer of the
Corporation.
Gerald Gingerich and his
wife, Pearl, head up the most
important committee of the
entire project --food. Arrang-
ing for all the workers in this
department is Mrs. Don Oke,
who has capably enlisted help
from every organization in the
community.
