Festival Artistic Director James Roy has announced that the en- thusiastic response and sup- port received from Blyth and the surrounding area has assured a second season next year. Attendance during the first three weeks of the Fest- ival has been higher than expected. Encouraged by this initial success, the Blyth Summer Festival plans, next summer, to extend its season and exp- and the professional company. There will be an increased number of productions with a continued emphasis on origin- al Canadian material. More special events, including music and crafts, are planned, and hopefully, an art gallery will be added. The current season has consisted of two main prod- uctions, one an original script Mostly in Clover based on the books of Harry J. Byle, and the Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. Theatre Passe Mur- aille's Farm Show visited for one performance, and the Chantecleer Puppet Theatre performed two shows for children. A Country Cabaret, staged at the Goderich Jail and Blyth Memorial Hall by the profes- sional company will wind up the season. WHITING'S Warehouse Furniture and Appliances Unlimited MAIN ST.
