Money- saving meat loaf receives new flavor interest in this version made with crushed corn flakes, dry mustard, Worces- tershire sauce and chopped onion. Round out the menu with good nutrition in mind by serving cooked spinach, a salad of leafy greens and crisp raw vegetables, baked potatoes and a fresh fruit dessert. SAVORY MEAT LOAF 22/3 cups corn flakes or 2/3 cup packaged corn flake crumbs 1 egg 3/a cup milk 1 teaspoon salt 1/s teaspoon pepper 1 tablespoon dry mustard 1 tablespoon Worcester- shire sauce V/3 cup finely chopped onion 11/2 lb. ground beef If using corn flakes, meas- ure first then crush into fine crumbs. Place crumbs in large mixing bowl. Add egg, milk, salt, pepper, mustard, Worces- tershire sauce and onion. Beat well. Add ground beef. Mix only until combined. Press meat mixture evenly into 9 x 5 x 3 -inch loaf pan. Bake in oven at 350°F. about 1 hour or until wells browned and • thoroughly done. Yield: 8 servings. Mr. and Mrs. Weston Currie, David and Denise and their grand -daughter, and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wohnsetter and their grand -daughter, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, attended the Murray -Reid reunion at Harbour Park in Goderich on Sunday. They also spent a couple of hours with Mrs. Ida McClinchey and her family. Mr. and Mrs. William Reid, Christopher and Anthony of Ottawa spent the weekend with their grandmother, Mrs. Belle Reid, and their parents, and also attended the Murray -Reid reun- ion. Jimmy Reid, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reid, summer res- idents left on Sunday for Norway to attend the World Scout Jamb- oree. He was chosen to represent the Wallaceburg Troop, and will be away for a month. Other countries he will visit are Den- mark, Sweden and Finalnd. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Parker and their four sons of Rugby, North Dakota, called on relat- ives in the Varna area on Fri- day. The Stanley Junior Girls played the Colborne "A" ball team at Benmiller Park on July 8,and the Colborne "B" team at Brucefield on July 15.
